Maryland’s Digital Advertising Tax: Is it a workable solution?


States are looking for ways to fill budget gaps, causing politicians to look for new sources of revenue. The first state in the country to pass a digital advertising tax was Maryland, which will be collecting revenue from digital advertisements on online services like Facebook and Google. Many other states will be watching to see how this plays out and possibly introduce similar bills in the future.
