A sales tax holiday in Maryland goes into effect August 12-18, 2018. During this time, eligible clothing, footwear and accessories are exempt from Maryland’s six percent state sales tax.
During the tax-free week, the following items are sales tax exempt with the following conditions:

It is important to note that retailers can issue discounts or coupons to reduce the sales price of an item to $100 or less, which will then qualify for the exemption.
