Florida Holds Annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday 2021

Florida will hold its annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday for clothing, footwear, school supplies and computers July 31 - August 9, 2021, allowing shoppers to purchase eligible goods tax-free.

To qualify for tax-free clothing and footwear, the item must cost $60 or less. It is important to note that pieces commonly sold together (like shoes) cannot be split up to stay beneath the $60 threshold.
The sales tax holiday also applies to school supplies with a $15 or less purchase price per item. School supplies sold in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging or airport do not qualify for the exemption.

In addition, the sales tax holiday applies to the first $1,000 of the sale price for personal computers and certain computer-related accessories, when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
