We were honored to receive the Main Line Gives Back Award at the fourth annual Greater Philadelphia Summit on Business Impact and Volunteerism 2019 event.
The award given out by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce (MLCC) honors companies’ efforts to enhance the community, through support for non-profits and other community-focused endeavors including charitable donations and volunteer efforts. During the event, engaging leaders discussed how top businesses address community needs at a time when employees expect to work for companies that care about more than just the bottom line. This is the 10th year of the awards, which were part of the Chamber’s Red Carpet Dinner before they became a featured portion of a stand-alone event focused on corporate social responsibility.
Bernard Dagenais, president and CEO of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce said, “The Main Line Gives Back Awards honor chamber members who give back to their communities through cash and in-kind donations, as well as volunteer time from employees. Companies that support their communities enjoy an advantage in attracting and retaining top talent. Vertex is a leader for its formal corporate philanthropy program, providing an example for other companies to follow.”
“Our commitment to the communities where our employees live and work is an important part of our culture and who we are at Vertex,” said Amanda Westphal Radcliffe, co-owner and board director at Vertex. “We continue to have a positive impact on organizations that were chosen by our employees by not only pledging funds, but dedicating time and resources on a global scale. We are honored to receive this award that acknowledges our culture of caring, as well as our employees who give back to their local communities.”
