Vertex Expands Presence in Chesterbrook

Vertex Inc., the Berwyn area provider of corporate enterprise tax solutions, recently hosted the Main Line Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the opening of a new office in Chesterbrook, the huge mixed use development in Tredyffrin.

The office is an expansion of the company’s corporate headquarters and operations located in Suburban Philadelphia and houses Vertex’s Customer Support, Tax Research, and Procedural Design and Development teams.

Vertex President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Westphal and Main Line Chamber of Commerce President Bernie Dagenais officially unveiled the 35,000-square-foot space on Liberty Ridge Drive on Friday, along with an audience of Vertex employees, Main Line Chamber members and local media.

Vertex employs over 800 employees across the US, Europe and South America, 576 of whom are based in the Greater Philadelphia region. The expansion comes as the company continues to ramp up recruitment of regional talent to support increased demand for company’s enterprise level corporate tax software and services.

“We are in growth mode and actively recruiting for multiple positions to help serve our customer base of global, multinational corporations,” Westphal said. “This includes software developers, professional services and ERP consultants, tax professionals, sales and customer support. By expanding to this new facility, Vertex is positioned to not only service our existing customer base, but also properly support our planned growth over the next decade.”

The planning and layout of the new office was done in collaboration with employees, who provided input on the layout of the floor plan including individual workspaces, team rooms, and furniture selection. The final result incorporates collaborative meeting rooms, updated work spaces, centralized resources, and even an area for decompressing during stressful work times, the company said.
