What happens to my resume after I share it with Vertex?

When you create a profile or apply for an open position, your information is entered into our database and will stay there indefinitely. Even so, we recommend that you update your profile if your contact details, job role or title, or other information changes.

When filling a new opening, we search our database for previously submitted resumes. However, you will have the best chance of success if you keep your information current—and proactively apply to any new positions that fit your qualifications.

How can I receive updates on open positions at Vertex?

When you sign up for your own Job Agent, you can search our current job postings and also identify potential matches based on your skill set. Click “Create a Job Agent” (in the left column under Career Opportunities). Enter your name and email address, upload your resume, and then select how close of a job match you would like and your desired frequency of notification. After you complete the process, you will receive an email message when our job postings meet your criteria.

What should I do if I have difficulty creating or updating my profile?

When creating a profile or applying for a position, please be sure to write down your username and password. If you enter the correct login credentials and are still unable to view your profile, we may have a system error. A simple solution is to create a new profile; however, you may need to use a different email address. Another option is to contact one of our recruiters for assistance.

What can I expect during the interview process at Vertex?

Our interview process varies depending on the position. In general, though, if you are qualified for one of our open roles, a Vertex recruiter will call or e-mail you to schedule a phone screen. If you advance in the process, the next step will most likely be a phone interview with the hiring manager. If you remain a candidate, we will bring you in for one or more rounds of on-site interviews. Since our company values collaboration, we like to have multiple people involved during the interview process. Thus, you may have to return for several rounds of interviews. This approach is a great way for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us—so all parties can be confident in our decisions.

Will I hear back from Vertex after I apply for a job?

Our goal is to provide feedback to everyone who applies for a position at Vertex. However, the timing and mode of feedback will vary depending on the position. Due to the volume of applications we receive for some positions, we cannot personally call every applicant. In such cases, we communicate via email as much as possible.

If I interview but am not hired, can I still apply or interview for another position at Vertex?

You are welcome to apply and interview for any position that fits your qualifications. However, if you were interviewed for one role at Vertex, it does not guarantee you will be contacted for another.

Does Vertex offer tuition reimbursement?  

Yes, Vertex offers tuition reimbursement of $6,000 to $8,000 per year. The exact amount depends on the degree.

Does Vertex pay any relocation costs?

For specific positions, we cover a portion of relocation costs.
