Connecticut Holds Annual Week-long Sales Tax Holiday

From August 18 through August 24, 2019, Connecticut will hold its annual sales tax holiday. During this time, select clothing and footwear with a purchase price of $100 or less will be exempt from Connecticut sales and use tax.

This one-week exclusion applies to clothing sales made by Connecticut and out-of-state retailers to Connecticut customers.

Items normally sold as a unit (for example, a pair of mittens) must continue to be sold as a pair; they cannot be separated and sold as individual items to qualify for the exclusion.
