Vertex Inc., the nation’s leading provider of corporate enterprise tax solutions, today announced it was named a 2016 Philly.com Top Workplace. Vertex ranks 15 out of 30 large organizations named to the list this year in the Philadelphia region and is eighth highest among private companies. This is the third time that Vertex participated in the survey and was named to the list since 2010. This year an unprecedented 2,260 companies applied in the Philadelphia region alone.

The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee opinion. The confidential employee survey of 6,000 companies nationwide was conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement based in Exton, PA.

“We are proud to have earned a spot on the list for the second consecutive year based on the honest and open feedback of our employees,” said Vertex CEO, Jeff Westphal. “The Top Workplaces award celebrates our culture, which over time has been carefully built on respect, collaboration and innovation,” Westphal added.

Employee benefits at Vertex scored 29 percent higher than other companies in this year's survey. Vertex has around 850 employees across the globe who enjoy a broad range of innovative policies and benefits. Examples include an on-site daycare for employees that work on or near the Berwyn, PA campus, wellness programs, recognition programs, flexible work schedules, mentoring opportunities, and an ongoing commitment in support of employee development and career growth.
