Vertex Inc., the leading provider of corporate enterprise tax software and services, again awarded a grant to the Foundation for Learning In Tredyffrin/Easttown (FLITE). Funds will be used to support several FLITE-funded programs that provide academic support for children in the T/E School District, including College/Post-High School Preparation and Planning Workshops and Summer Learning Programs. The donation was made as part of the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (“EITC”) program.
Vertex is a privately held Berwyn-based company, employing more than 900 professionals in eight locations globally. Its significant gift to FLITE is part of Vertex’s commitment to supporting children in T/E and the surrounding community through education. Jeff Westphal, President and CEO, and his sisters Stefanie Westphal Lucas, Director and Amanda Westphal-Radcliffe, Director, who are co-owners and board members of Vertex, are also Conestoga High School graduates and generous community supporters.
“Vertex strongly believes in corporate support for organizations that strengthen the local community, especially through education,” said Amanda Westphal-Radcliffe. “Extra support can make all the difference in a child's life. Vertex is pleased to partner with FLITE to help fund these important programs.”
FLITE Board Chair, Rachel Gibbs, commented that, "FLITE is very grateful to Vertex for the company's continued generous support of programs that boost the education of children in our community. FLITE focuses its efforts on helping children who face barriers to their education; and strong community partners like Vertex make our work possible."
The Foundation for Learning In Tredyffrin/Easttown (FLITE) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that funds programs that enable children to reach their full potential and promote academic excellence in our public schools. FLITE-funded programs provide opportunities that change children’s lives and strengthen our community.
