George Salis of Vertex Inc. Earns Distinguished Certified Business Economist™ (CBE) Designation

Vertex Inc., the leading provider of corporate tax solutions, announced today that Senior Principal, Tax Compliance Analyst George L. Salis has earned the Certified Business Economist (CBE) designation from the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). Among the inaugural class of CBE recipients, Salis was recognized at the 2015 NABE Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. on October 11.

The CBE is a comprehensive certification covering core topics in applied economics and data analytics. In addition to demonstrating a mastery of this knowledge, CBE designees are required to complete courses in verbal and written communication skills and pursue continuing education throughout their careers. The CBE program was launched in October 2014 and is governed by a board that includes leading economists working in business, academia, and government.
