Vertex Takes Lead in Developing Regional Talent

June 25, 2013 – Vertex, Inc., the leading provider of corporate enterprise tax solutions worldwide, joined the Main Line Chamber of Commerce on June 25th for the 2013 Regional Congress on Talent and Education at St. Joseph’s University.College presidents and CEOs from many of the region’s largest companies gathered to develop strategies for retaining regional talent.

Vertex is an active member of the Main Line Chamber and a leading proponent of developing regional talent through business growth and increased collaboration between regional businesses and universities. Jeff Westphal, President and CEO of Vertex, moderated a panel discussion at the Congress focused on improving the interaction between employers and higher education.

As a corporate sponsor at 2013 U.S. Open in Ardmore, Pa., Vertex launched Vertex Enterprise,an entirely new software platform that is flexible and open to any vendor's tax software application. The software is built from the ground up specifically for the needs of Corporate Tax departments. It provides the data management and reporting capability the global tax executive needs, in a flexible, user-friendly system. 

Also, in March, the company opened a new facility in Chesterbrook, Pa. to house Vertex’s Customer Support, Tax Research and Procedural Design and Development teams. The new facility will support increased demand for enterprise level corporate tax software and services.
