King of Prussia-based software tax technology company, Vertex, recently acquired the Portland-based startup Tellutax. The edge technology computing company brings computation and data storage closer to the location where it’s needed. The process improves response times and saves bandwidth.
“We believe Tellutax edge technology will extend our leadership in the enterprise market and accelerate our ecosystem expansion into next generation payment and IoT platforms,” Vertex CEO David DeStefano said in a statement. “This acquisition furthers our technology roadmap and hybrid cloud strategy, enabling us to serve customers in an increasingly hyper-connected environment.”
