Vertex Cloud Indirect Tax Announces SOC 2 Type 2 Completion

Vertex, Inc., a leading provider of tax technology solutions and services, today announced its Vertex Cloud Indirect Tax solution has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 examination. The audit process affirms Vertex Cloud’s information security practices, policies, procedures and operations meet the SOC 2 standards for security.

Vertex Cloud’s SOC 2 report validates the security of hosted solutions and helps satisfy customer requirements. This includes obtaining assurance over third-parties who host their data and the effectiveness of the solution’s compliance or operations based on Trust Services Principles and criteria. In addition, it provides a thorough review of how Vertex Cloud’s internal controls affect the security of the systems used to process user data, a crucial element for customers in highly regulated industries.
