If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.
This longstanding business wisdom rings true across a variety of business realms – including organizational culture. We’re happy to report that Vertex’s close attention to our culture has been rewarded with recognition as a 2018 Top Workplace by Philly.com.
This marks the fourth consecutive year Vertex has received this distinction, and our President and CEO David DeStefano credits our entire workforce for this sustained success.
“Our employees bring passion to fuel the development of our products and services and purpose to help us achieve our goals,” David says. “This award is really about recognizing the hard work of our employees, our most valuable asset — we are all honored to be named a Top Workplace for a fourth year in a row.”
The Top Workplace list is based entirely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, a top research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Energage’s analysis of organizational well-being examines numerous culture-related measures, including alignment, execution and connection. Our employees gave Vertex particularly high marks for pay and benefits, work flexibility and support from managers.
Four years named as a Top Workplace is a welcome accolade, but that will not slow us down from continuously improving how we monitor and manage our culture to ensure that it measures up for the long-term.
