Connecting with What Matters Most

  • October 21, 2019

Our new brand remains true to our longstanding corporate values while emphasizing our equally longstanding commitment to connecting with what matters most.

Jim Collins knows what makes great companies tick. For the past 25 years, the “Good to Great” author has invited hundreds of CEOs and senior leadership teams to his management lab in Colorado to learn how they hire talented people, develop future leaders, foster collaborations, inspire stakeholders, and build and protect their corporate brands. One of Collins’ most astute observations is that “it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work.”

That line came to mind several times earlier this year—as our entire workforce worked together to update our brand message—and more recently, as we’ve been preparing for Vertex Exchange 2019, our annual conference that takes place later this month in Colorado.

Vertex Exchange 2019 Aurora Colorado

Our new brand remains true to our longstanding corporate values while emphasizing our equally longstanding commitment to connecting with what matters most – our customers, partners, employees, and communities. At a high level, our brand message reads like this: Vertex connects our customers and partners to what matters: great technology, tax expertise, enduring partnerships, and people who truly care about their success. Together, we deliver the world’s most valued tax solutions for companies to connect, transact, and comply while growing their business.

I can’t overstate the value our company places on making meaningful connections and the importance Vertex employees place in forging trusted relationships. This passion will be on display at Vertex Exchange, an event carefully designed to connect our customers with the people, information, and solutions that matter.

This year’s event continues to introduce innovative ways to foster connections and collaborations with peers, Vertex leaders and experts, exhibitors, and our consulting alliance partners. I’m excited that our people take such pride in making and growing these trusted relationships—at Vertex Exchange and throughout the many ecosystems we operate in around the world. While I could go on about our upcoming event and our brand, I’d rather not. Like all my colleagues who I’m honored to work with, I have meaningful work to get to – building one connection at a time.
