Vertex Cloud Platform Expands, Supporting Businesses of All Sizes

  • July 25, 2017

As digital transformation accelerates, companies of all sizes have a growing need to demonstrate business agility. Successful organizations scale up and down to quickly seize market opportunities and dodge strategic risk.

Cloud technology represents a central component of digital transformation and a key enabler of business agility. Today, 95 percent of companies use cloud technology, and 85 percent of companies have deployed a multi-cloud strategy. The tax function marks a critical component of these approaches. As tax compliance becomes more complex and as jurisdictions demand access to more organizational tax data, tax functions need more powerful data-management capabilities and supporting technology that is easier to use and scale. In recognition of these and related needs, Vertex has expanded its cloud platform, Vertex Cloud Indirect Tax.

Vertex Cloud is positioned to help companies drive efficiency and scalability while managing risk in an increasingly digital world. Vertex will continue to invest in cloud applications for tax technology given the great success we’ve had over the past three years with our small to medium-sized business (SMB) solution. Now, our company is expanding its cloud footprint to serve any type of client under the Vertex Cloud platform.

Previously known as Vertex SMB, Vertex Cloud is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales and use tax automation solution that includes calculation and returns. To find out how Vertex Cloud helps to boost tax and business agility, click here.
