Vertex Launches Tax Solutions for Oracle ERP Cloud

Flexible solutions cover full breadth of tax needs for Oracle ERP Cloud subscribers

Vertex Inc., the leading supplier of corporate tax solutions and Platinum level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), announced today the launch of solutions for Oracle ERP Cloud that cover a complete range of tax needs for organizations that use Oracle ERP Cloud. The solutions are scalable to support companies of any size – from the smallest organizations to the largest multinational corporations. The solutions are being introduced in conjunction with the Oracle OpenWorld conference being held in San Francisco.

The cloud tax solutions were developed through a unique joint effort with Oracle. These solutions cover a multitude of critical tax needs, including:

• Content (Geographies/Tax Rates/Tax Rules)
• Reporting (Tax Returns/Reports)
• Calculation/Determination (Application of Transaction Tax Calculation/Exceptions/ Exemptions)

Vertex’s initial solution covers sales tax rate and geography identification as well as an option for product/service taxability rules management. Also available is an outsourced service for automated sales tax returns filing and remittance.

In addition, Vertex and Oracle have developed a cloud-to-cloud tax calculation service that will allow customers with complex tax requirements to pass transactional information between ERP Cloud and the Vertex Indirect Tax O Series solution.
