Gerry Hurley
Vice President, Opportunity Management
Gerry is Vice President of Opportunity Management and joined Vertex in 1993, after serving as a marketing consultant for one year in 1992.
Gerry provides leadership and guidance to resources in product management, market intelligence, emerging business models, partners and alliances, data management, and services marketing. His responsibilities revolve around setting strategy for in-market products and services, leading the process of gathering, analyzing and communicating information about Vertex's markets, and developing strategies for emerging business models. In addition, his team develops Vertex's data management and services strategy in collaboration with the appropriate teams.
During 2008, Gerry was the steward of the Business Strategy Team (BST), the Transaction Tax Market Strategy Team and International VAT Market Strategy team
He is a graduate of St. Joseph's University with a B.S. in accounting.
