John Viglione
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
John Viglione is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Vertex and is responsible for the technology and architecture direction of all of Vertex's products, assuring alignment with Vertex's corporate strategy.
John joined Vertex in 1998 and has been responsible for multiple initiatives at Vertex, including the transitioning of Vertex's legacy internal systems to its modern ERP-driven environment.
John is a member of Vertex's Business Strategy Team, leading to the creation of Vertex's core strategic direction and underlying Tax Performance Management Strategy. In addition, he is responsible for Vertex's leadership in multiple industry standards organizations related to the technology, financial and tax industry.
Prior to joining Vertex, John served for over fifteen years within Fortune 500 companies, focusing on comprehensive enterprise IT initiatives. John earned his B.S. from St. Joseph's University and his Masters of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
