Description
This hands-on course focuses on how deduction reason codes and tax category codes can be set up in the Tax Decision Maker (TDM). Smart TDM setup allows for successful data flow into Vertex Returns and eliminates significant manual effort.
Agenda includes:

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify when to use reason codes and tax category codes
- Enter state specific reason codes and tax category codes into the TDM for use in Sales Tax Returns
- Create a TAX2000 file that can be imported into Sales Tax Returns
Requirements
You must be an employee of an active Vertex customer or Vertex partner company and have:
- Familiarity with creating the TAX2000 file in Vertex Q Series
- Basic knowledge of Vertex Q Series Tax Decision Maker
- You must test your system compatibility prior to class
