Advanced Vertex Indirect Tax O Series users that wish to learn more about the Reporting Options available

Note: The Reporting Options web class is based on Vertex O Series Version 6.0.

Description

This hands-on course will introduce the Standard Reports available, the Data Extract Tool, and provide a brief demonstration of Vertex Reporting and Analysis.

Attendees will perform hands-on exercises to generate standard reports and query, limit, sort, and report on tax data in the Data Extract Tool.

Agenda includes:

• Discuss necessary Data Management processes
• Generate Standard Vertex O Series reports
• Discuss the features of the Data Extract Tool
• Demonstrate the functionality of the Data Extract Tool
• Create Data Extracts in multiple formats (csv, html, and others)
• Demonstrate the functionality of Vertex Reporting and Analysis

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the Data Management processes necessary to create reports
• Understand what reporting options are available
• Generate Standard Vertex O Series reports
• Create and run data extracts in Vertex Central

Requirements

You must be an employee of an active Vertex customer or Vertex partner company and have:

• PC experience
• Working knowledge of Windows-based products
• Basic understanding of sales and use tax concepts
• Experience running and interpreting Vertex O Series for Sales Tax standard reports

• You must test your system compatibility prior to class
