Introduction to Value Added Tax
Value Added Tax (VAT) is the world’s most widely used transaction tax system but its principles and practical application remain a mystery to most U.S. companies, even those that operate in countries where VAT has been adopted. This course focuses on the basic principles of VAT as they apply to both in-country and cross-border transactions involving goods and services. The course includes a number of brief exercises to reinforce understanding of the tax.
