Arizona Special Election Delivers a Special Tax Increase
Arizona voters have approved a temporary 1% increase in the state transaction privilege (sales) and use tax from 5.6% to 6.6%. The increase will take effect on June 1, 2010, and last until May 31, 2013.
Proposition 100 was approved by the voters at the May 18, 2010 election and signed by the Governor on May 28, 2010.
The Proposition 100 results can be viewed on the Arizona Department of Revenue Web site.
