U.S. Swept by Torrential Tax Holidays for Back to School - Maryland

The Maryland Comptroller has released a bulletin that provides information on the state’s upcoming sales tax holiday. From August 8 through August 14, 2010, sales and use tax does not apply to clothing or footwear with a sales price of $100 or less per item. Accessories and protective clothing are not included. The bulletin includes information on coupons, layaway sales, mail-order sales, shipping charges, refunds, and documentation of exempt sales.
