Colorado Dampens the Static on Cleanroom Exemptions
Effective July 1, 2007, Colorado House Bill 07-1277 provides an exemption for tangible personal property that comprises or creates a cleanroom that is used to produce tangible personal property including computer components, microprocessors, blank and written software media other high-tech manufacturing products and pharmaceuticals.
The cost of the machinery and equipment must exceed five hundred dollars. The act defines "cleanrooms", "machinery that comprises a cleanroom" and specifies that machinery shall not include a building or permanent non-removable component of a building that comprises a cleanroom.
