Vertex Indirect Tax O Series features embedded exemption certificate management, a new user interface with improved workflow, and enhanced reporting capabilities
Berwyn, PA – April 5, 2010 – Vertex Inc., the leading provider of enterprise corporate tax solutions, today introduced enhancements to Vertex® Indirect Tax O Series® – the industry-preferred automated tax processing solution selected by more than 600 customers to manage their tax compliance. The latest release features embedded exemption certificate management, a new user interface that facilitates improved workflow, and advanced reporting capabilities.
Vertex O Series’ new embedded certificate management functionality automates the collection, validation, and maintenance of North American tax exemption certificates. Unlike traditional standalone certificate management solutions, Vertex O Series users eliminate the need for multiple input processes ensuring that data is consistent leading to immediately accurate tax calculation.
In addition, Vertex’s solution also includes an extensive library of federal, state, and local forms to ensure the certificates under your management are current and compliant. By managing certificates, providing compliance reporting, and supporting audit requirements, Vertex O Series helps users avoid costly noncompliance penalties.
The new user interface with this release simplifies business processes resulting in easier navigation, fewer clicks, and improved workflow. Vertex O Series now supports multiple browsers, including Internet Explorer®, Safari®, and Firefox®.
“With this release, we extended the solution that has already proven to be the gold standard for end-to-end enterprise transaction tax automation,” said John Viglione, Chief Technology Officer for Vertex. “Vertex Indirect Tax O Series continues to provide an invaluable resource for the industry to manage the complexities associated with indirect tax compliance.”
