Former Vanguard Executive Joins Vertex as Vice President of Managed Services

Berwyn, PA – December 2, 2009 – Vertex Inc., the leading provider of enterprise corporate tax solutions, today announced that David Henkin will join the company as Vice President of Managed Services. In this position Henkin will lead business development for the company’s tax processing returns operation.

Henkin brings over 14 years of experience in strategic and tactical business planning. For most of his career he served at the Vanguard Group and was most recently Vice President of Institutional Retirement Plan Services where he managed client administration for Vanguard’s largest, integrated outsourcing relationships and business development team.

Henkin holds a M.B.A. from Villanova University, a M.A. from City College of the City University of NY, and a B.S. from the University of Maryland. A noted author of the book, Conversation Innovation: A Corporate Fable on Leadership, Coaching and the Power of Conversations, he is also an adjunct faculty member at Villanova University School of Business and a coach for senior executives who are Villanova students and alumni.
