Barb Dyson
Vice President, Human Resources
Barb is Vice President of Human Resources and leads all recruiting, performance management, HRIS (human resource information systems), compensation and benefits management, and recognition programs.
Along with her staff, Barb closely interacts with managers throughout Vertex to help administer effective human resource practices and employee relations. The entire HR entity supports the contributions of every employee and values employee diversity and creativity, which strengthen the Vertex culture and business environment.
In 2008, Barb was awarded the Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Award (for employers of 501-2000 employees) by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She was recognized for her work on the redesigned compensation program, the benefits program, the upgraded employee handbook, and other HR programs.
Barb holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Widener University and has achieved Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Society. Barb joined Vertex in 2006.
