Registration

What is the rate for the conference?
The individual rate is $1,395. We accept Visa/MasterCard or American Express. Your card will be charged upon registration completion.

Are group discounts offered?
If two or more registrants from your organization are planning to attend, each person can receive a $100 discount on their conference admission.

Please e-mail csmith@npmeet.com prior to registering to receive a promotional code for your company. Anyone in your company can use the code to receive the $100.00 group discount. Your will receive a response to your e-mail the day it is received. Or contact us at 1.866.912.7313, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CDT (2:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. GMT).

Who can I contact if I have problems registering online?

What methods of payment are accepted for registration and related fees?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express. Your card will be charged upon completion of your registration.

I am not sure what sessions to sign up for. Who can provide guidance on appropriate subjects for me?
Please review the abstracts on the Web site in the Session Description section for session details. If you still have questions, please send us an e-mail at csmith@npmeet.com.

What if the course I want to take is full?
You will receive an e-mail if a class opens up or when a seat is confirmed for you. You can check for last minute cancellations on site.

I can only attend one day of the conference, is there a single day price?
We apologize, but there is only the three-day package available for this conference. The event has been carefully structured to optimize participant's time to achieve maximum learning value.

How do I change or cancel my registration?
To make a change, access the confirmation e-mail you received after registering. Copy the confirmation code provided to you on your confirmation and click on EDIT MY INFORMATION. Paste the confirmation code in the box and make any edits by clicking on the EDIT MY INFORMATION link on the right-hand side of the screen. To add/remove workshops, follow the steps above then click on the WORKSHOP SCHEDULE link on the right-hand side of the screen.

What is the conference cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Over 30 days (before September 25) Full refund
  • 14 to 30 days (Between September 25 – October 11) $200 penalty
  • 14 days or less (After October 11) No refund

I cannot attend the conference; can I buy transcripts from the event?
Due to the nature of the conference and the potential for sensitive discussions to occur, sessions will not be taped or recorded for purchase or distribution.

Travel and Accommodations

Where is the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort located?
The hotel is located in Orlando between Epcot® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios™, and nearby Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and Magic Kingdom® Park.

What is the room rate for the hotel?
$165 per night (including Hotel Resort Fee).

How much does parking cost at the hotel?
Self-park rate is $11 + tax per day for registered hotel guests or $12 for each exit for non-registered guests.

Can I extend my hotel stay beyond the conference block of Wednesday, October 27?
Enter your request in the special request field of the hotel reservation and we will respond within four business days.

Can I stay at other hotels?
There are no restrictions, however, customers have found being at the same hotel as the conference and other attendees beneficial. We encourage you to stay at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort and have negotiated a discounted rate for conference attendees.

Where can I rent a car?
The hotel offers on-site car rental service through National and Alamo at the guest services area of the Dolphin. Contact National Car Rental at 1.800.CAR.RENT or Alamo at 1.800.GO.ALAMO. 

Is airport transportation provided?
No, you must secure your own transportation. See the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort transporation page for details on transportation to/from the Orlando International Airport.

Are group airfare discounts offered?
No, we have found the most cost-effective method for securing airfare is to make your own travel arrangements.

Your Time at Exchange

What is the purpose of Vertex Exchange 2010?
Vertex Exchange 2010 is your opportunity to learn the latest tips and tricks for your Vertex product, explore new solutions from Vertex, engage Vertex subject matter experts and network with other tax and IT professionals.

What is the dress code?
The dress code for the conference and receptions is business casual. The average temperature in Orlando during October is 85°F.

Will I have an opportunity to meet with product experts at the conference?
Absolutely. Representatives of our product management team will be on-site at the conference. Vertex subject matter experts can always be found at the Vertex Resource Center.

How many CPE credits can I earn at Exchange?
You will have the opportunity to earn over 20 CPE credits.

Are there groups of customers with common interests (i.e. special interest groups) who meet during the conference?
Yes, there will be focused sessions and roundtable forums dedicated to specific industries, products and ERP vendors including Oracle and SAP. Additionally, our meal times will provide opportunities to meet folks from similar lines of tax, industries.

What is the conference policy on bringing families? Are there activities for my spouse/family?
Families and guests are welcome to accompany you on your trip, but please understand the conference events are of a business nature and not suitable for spouses, guests, or children.
