One Conference, Countless Opportunities to Connect
While it's common knowledge that Vertex Exchange provides countless learning opportunities on the latest Vertex technology, Exchange also serves as your one destination this year to connect with other Vertex users across North America.
This year we are expanding the networking opportunities to get in touch with other users, explore tax trends with thought leaders and to simply unwind after an intense day of learning.
Sunday Night: Welcome Reception
After a long day of travel, join colleagues and Vertex staff for an evening of drinks, light food and fun. In addition, extra Vertex staff will be on-hand in the Exchange Resource Center to answer any questions about Exchange or Vertex.
Monday Night: Uncover History aboard the USS Midway
After faithfully serving America's troops oversees, the USS Midway has found her final home in the San Diego harbor. For one night, Vertex guests will experience the majesty of this grand vessel by exploring its rich history while enjoying exquisite cuisine in a festive atmosphere. Price is free with registration.
If you would like to bring a guest with you, there is a $95.00 charge for them to attend and they must be 21 years of age or older.
Tuesday Afternoon: Something for Everyone
Wines & Vines: An Event Aged to Perfection
This four hour event offers access to two of San Diego's renowned wineries - Bernardo Winery and Orfila Vineyards. You will be treated to wine tasting, a tour of the scenic vineyards, a behind-the-scenes look at wine making, enjoy a light snack, and be given the opportunity to shop at quaint village setting shops. Price $65.00
Sailing Regatta: Team for Speed
Batten down the hatches and get ready to become a contributing crew member on a 27' sailing yacht. Set against the splendorous backdrop of the San Diego harbor, attendees will be split into teams and become a full interactive member of the crew or relax as an interested spectator as you race against colleagues to be first to the finish line. Keep in mind this is no pleasure cruise, your U.S. Coast Guard certified Captain will be counting on your skills to help navigate the high seas. Price $80.00
Seaside Adventure: La Jolla Beach & Prospect Avenue
The awe inspiring seaside cliffs of La Jolla Beach serve as the backdrop for this afternoon of leisurely hiking guided by a naturalist from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Your guide will highlight the natural wonders of the West Coast and end the event from a scenic lookout point.

An Inside Look at MCAS Miramar: Honoring American Aviation
From the historic flights of Charles Lindbergh to the breakneck speeds of today's fighter jets, Miramar has been a focal point of avionics. Guests will receive a V.I.P. tour of this historic military establishment and have time to interact with the troops and eat dinner in the mess hall.

San Diego Wine & Culinary Center: Unlock Your Hidden Chef
Whether you are a culinary expert or looking to unlock your hidden chef, any aficionado of food will appreciate this three hour event. Watch on as a trained chef takes you through preparing a three course culinary delight and offers tricks of the trade for mouth watering meals. Price $85.00
Table That Conversation
If you are looking to connect with other customers facing similar business issues, the meal-time networking opportunities offer the perfect venue. During each breakfast and lunch attendees will have the choice to select theme tables based on tax type, specialty line of taxation, ERP, first-time attendee and geography. A Vertex staff member will be at each table. We will also have open tables available for anyone that just wants to enjoy a quiet meal.
