Oracle 11i Customers Now Have Access to the Most Comprehensive Tax Processing Solution Available Today
Vertex® O Series™ Integrates With Oracle 11i
Berwyn, PA, September 23, 2004 – Oracle and Vertex customers now have a global solution that enables them to improve tax management efficiencies for sales, use, and value added taxes through one centralized system. Vertex O Series, a Web-services based tax solution that helps customers reduce costs associated with tax processing, has been officially integrated with Oracle 11i, as announced today by Vertex Inc. The Vertex O Series integration with Oracle 11i advances the long-standing relationship between Vertex and Oracle and it supports Vertex’s innovative approach to ensure that its products are integrated to major ERP vendors, guaranteeing mutual customers the most advanced tax technology solutions and services available today.
Because Vertex O Series is a centralized tax resource, “A single instance of Vertex will be able to support multiple business units and multiple instances of Oracle applications,” said Tom Kirk, account executive for Strategic Alliances at Vertex. The tools provided through the integration improve enterprise wide tax process visibility, which in turn will help today’s companies meet the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley and its increased emphasis on reporting and corporate accountability.
Specifically, this interface leverages the existing Vertex use tax interface to Oracle’s accounts payable and purchase applications and the existing sales tax interface to Accounts Receivables/ Order Management/ CRM, which is certified by Oracle. The integration will provide Vertex and Oracle customers with the ability to achieve more accurate sales, consumer use, and value added tax processing.
