Industry Expert Joins Vertex ® Consulting

Berwyn , Pa. —March 27, 2006— Vertex Inc. (vertexinc.com), the leading provider of tax technology solutions, recently announced the addition of Joseph Geiger, Jr. as the newest member of the Vertex Consulting team. Geiger, a licensed attorney and Certified Public Accountant, has worked with companies to develop and improve their tax strategies and compliance operations.

Geiger brings over 20 years of tax experience with income, property, real estate, fuel, franchise, international, payroll, sales, and consumer use taxes to Vertex. In addition, he has extensive sales and use tax consulting experience including tax and audit planning and reverse sales and use tax audit exposure. Prior to joining Vertex, Joseph focused on tax planning and strategies as the Principal Tax Analyst at Exelon Generation Company.
