Vertex O Series™ “Powered
by SAP NetWeaver™”
Berwyn, PA, March 18, 2004 – Vertex
O Series 2.0, the newest family of tax products from the
world’s leading provider of tax technology solutions,
has received SAP certification for installation and deployment
on SAP® Web Application Server (SAP WebAS) Release 6.20.
Additionally, Vertex O Series has been successfully certified
on SAP Enterprise Portal 5.0 and has received the “Powered
by SAP NetWeaver™” certification. SAP NetWeaver ’04—SAP’s
open integration and application platform—powers ready-to-go,
innovative industry specific software products from SAP and
its partners such as Vertex Inc. It was launched today at
CeBIT 2004 in Hannover, Germany, with the support of Vertex.
Vertex O Series 2.0, solutions for sales tax, consumer use
tax, and value added tax (VAT) on SAP WebAS, help customers
reduce costs associated with tax processing. Integrating
O Series with the SAP standards-based infrastructure for
developing reliable business applications allows tax professionals
to process sales, consumer use, and VAT tax with much greater
efficiency and accuracy. SAP NetWeaver ’04 also reduces
total cost of ownership across the entire IT landscape, for
both SAP and non-SAP solutions.
