Vertex Inc. offers SSA Global’s ERP LN customers a seamless interface for Vertex’s industry leading Vertex® O Series® for Sales Tax and Consumer Use Tax software

Berwyn, Pa.—February 14, 2006—With the recent announcement by Vertex Inc., the leading provider of tax technology solutions, worldwide users of SSA Global’s ERP LN now have a sophisticated new way to quickly improve the efficiency of their tax departments, while dramatically reducing tax processing costs and maintaining compliance with stringent Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Vertex and SSA Global have partnered to develop this exciting new software interface, which beautifully integrates the market-leading Vertex® Sales Tax O Series® and Vertex® Consumer Use Tax O Series® products with SSA Global’s SSA ERP LN.

It’s the latest productivity-focused integration to result from the 12-year partnership between Vertex and Baan Company, since acquired by SSA Global (NASDAQ: SSAG), a leading provider of extended enterprise solutions and services.

As a result of the new interface, companies that use SSA ERP LN can now license Vertex® Sales Tax O Series and Vertex Consumer Use Tax O Series software directly from Vertex, purchase the interface directly from SSA Global, and begin streamlining their companies’ tax management processes through a single, completely integrated, fully centralized software system.

The result is a more productive, more efficient tax department.
