Hot Off the Press – Missouri Offers Commercial Printer Exemption
In conjunction with the New and expanded manufacturing exemptions, the Missouri Department of Revenue issued an emergency rule effective August 28, 2007 (which expires Feb 23, 2008).
This rule will provide the public with guidance regarding purchases of machinery, equipment, materials and chemicals used or consumed by a printer in the production process are exempt from state tax and local use tax, but not local sales tax.
