Sales Tax State Activity Update - January 2005
No Coupon Books for Florida Electronic Use Tax Filers
In a continuing countrywide compliance trend, the Florida Department of Revenue notified use tax filers, who have been or are required to file electronically that they will not receive the 2005 sales and use tax coupon book or instructions. This procedure is expected to generate substantial savings for the state by reducing printing and mailing costs.
The Department did mail the 2005 Discretionary Sales Surtax Rate Sheet, Form DR-15DDS. In addition a copy of the sales tax instructions may be found on the Department Web Site. For questions or further information you may contact Taxpayers Services, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Eastern Time at 800.367.8331 or 850.488.6800.
